WHAT WE DO

Blakeway Weyburn is operationalising the net-negative economy through developing carbon capture, utilisation, and storage projects. We also create and run downstream carbon circular economy businesses. We do this on behalf of CO₂ emitting organisations, supporting them to achieve real-zero sustainability targets and ultimately becoming climate positive, meeting investor requirements across ESG, and saving money on their emissions taxes.

We work to overcome the ‘carbon is a waste’ problem by turning it into a resource and creating viable carbon economy businesses. We’re helping clients answer questions like these:

What is your decarbonisation plan?

What are you going to do over the next five years to achieve net-zero?

How are you going to become more competitive by decarbonisation?

This can only be solved by addressing industry emissions, helping companies figure out how to reduce them, and then partnering with them on actually making the required changes. If these sound like the kind of questions you need to answer, then get in touch and start your journey to net-zero and beyond.

From nothing to climate positive

Its a long journey, but we have to start somewhere. We support forward thinking clients who believe in doing the right thing by decarbonising their operations while building broader bio-diversity benefits.

Step ONE

We support our clients to understand and calculate embedded & ongoing carbon emissions. We then work with them to identify and enact relevant carbon offset initiatives that allow them to start the journey of decarbonisation. This is never the end of the story, but the necessary first step.

Step TWO

We then undertake a comprehensive operations and supplier analysis to identify where opportunities are for switching generation or fuel types. This includes looking at local power purchase agreement options, direct renewables and even early stage hydrogen as generation options.

Step THREE

Carbon Capture and utilisation is deployed on those client assets where switching generation is not possible. Blakeway Weyburn uses proprietary carbon utilisation solutions developed within its in-house R&D centre combined with industry partners for carbon capture/concentration and chemical utilisation use cases.
